Supertouch at The Health & Safety Event 2026

26/08/26

At Supertouch, protecting people is not something we limit just to the products we make. It is a belief that extends into the communities we support, and this week that belief took our Director, Khurram Akhtar, to Rawalpindi to visit the St. Joseph’s Hospice.

The Day at St. Joseph's Hospice

Khurram travelled with the Programme Team from the Balqees Welfare Foundation (BWF) to visit St. Joseph's Hospice, a charitable healthcare institution providing care, rehabilitation and support to individuals living with disabilities and chronic illnesses.

Throughout the visit, Khurram spent time with the team, observing the Hospice's well-organised operations and speaking with the staff responsible for its day-to-day running. What came through most clearly was the level of dedication at every stage of the service and a shared commitment to providing quality care with dignity and compassion for some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

A Partnership Built on Consistency

The visit also reaffirmed the ongoing partnership between BWF and St. Joseph's Hospice, one that Supertouch is proud to support. Through BWF's food support programme, they contribute towards the nutritional needs of both patients and staff at the Hospice. This reflects BWF’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through meaningful and long-term partnerships.

At Supertouch, we donate 50% of our net profits to BWF. This ensures partnerships like this one continue, as well as other programmes for healthcare, food security, education and hardship relief for underprivileged communities across Pakistan. We believe meaningful support comes from showing up consistently, year after year, and having our leadership on the ground with the team at St. Joseph's Hospice is a clear example of that commitment in practice.

Looking Ahead Towards Future Commitments

Beyond the visit itself, the day opened up further conversations between Khurram and the BWF team about longer-term collaboration, particularly around the connected challenges of disability and poverty. Both organisations see real opportunity in continuing to work together to create lasting, positive change for the people who need it most.

Protective Workwear with a Conscience

This is our philosophy of Protective workwear with a conscience in action. It is built on the idea that protection should not stop at the workplace. By supporting the Balqees Welfare Foundation, we extend that same belief in protection into the wider world, through healthcare, food, education and hardship relief for the communities who need it most.
